KEN HUESBY

President & CEO

Ken founded Hillhouse Construction Company in 1987 with the vision of building quality projects paired with excellent service. Ken brings over thirty-five years of construction experience and a passion for making customers successful.

Ken’s expertise in sustainable design and construction has been influencing Hillhouse’s project delivery methodology for years. Hillhouse’s signature Indoor Air Quality Management Plan is considered the indoor air quality benchmark protocol for commercial interiors.  Mr. Huesby is LEED AP certified and has acted as a consultant and LEED project administrator for numerous LEED projects.  Ken was instrumental in designing and constructing our country’s first Net Zero Energy Zero Carbon Emission building.  Hillhouse Construction continues to be on the cutting edge of the sustainable movement. Even Hillhouse’s own office is LEED Gold certified.

As Hillhouse’s Green Team Leader, Ken is involved in all pre-project planning related to a project’s sustainable design and construction objectives.  He works closely with the project team to define sustainable goals, methodology, and delivery process.  For LEED-certified projects, Mr. Huesby outlines the certification path, confirms the required documentation and commission requirements, and supports the certification process.

Ken’s experience includes mid-rise steel and concrete construction, underground and multi-story parking structures, concrete tilt-up, and conventional wood frame construction as a construction professional. His interior construction experience includes high-profile corporate offices, state-of-the-art scientific and microelectronics facilities, healthcare, and hospitality facilities.

As an advocate for customer service and a student of business, Ken is continuously redefining the process of construction. His unique service model extends well beyond construction to provide his clients with a network of business professionals and solutions for their business issues.

Ken is known for his positive attitude, focus, and creativity.  Hillhouse’s company culture reflects that.
