This was a 106,000 s.f. high-profile corporate office interior improvement project, built to LEED Gold standards (anticipating certification). The fast-track project allowed a nine-week construction window with critical occupancy date. Hillhouse's strategic reuse of existing improvements required constant protection and management of original building finishes. The final project included 82 private offices with unique glass office fronts and sliding doors, along with new and upgraded lab and IT rooms. LEED and sustainable building features included a 35% reduction in lighting power consumption, a 30% reduction in domestic water use, 75% of waste diverted from landfills, and 20% recycled content in new building materials. Hillhouse also used low-emitting materials and managed indoor air quality during construction and before occupancy.
