IDeAs, San Jose

This is a 7,000 s.f. Net Zero Energy/Zero Carbon Emission corporate office building. Hillhouse served as the design-assist general contractor and designed it to LEED Gold standards. The construction included the complete site, exterior and interior renovation and involved a roof-integrated photovoltaic system to meet 100% of the site's electrical needs. We installed a ground source heat pump to provide radiant heating and cooling with natural “fresh air” ventilation, eliminating need for natural gas and reducing power consumption by 40%.
